We are constantly working to optimize our morning routines because that's where the day starts and as the Rock puts it, this is how we get grounded.
One thing to note is that it does not matter what time you wake up. I've talked to tons of people from all walks of life who are "successful" in their own right. The one thing I see the most is consistency. Being consistent in your routine will pay off in the long run.
I don't know if we need to really say this, but starting your morning with some physical work, is one of the most common traits among many successful people. This can be getting your cardio in for 30-45 minutes.
2. Stick to a Routine
Sticking to the same routine every day is a huge advantage. If you follow the same routine every day no matter where you are or how hard you're pushing yourself throughout your day, it will lead to you being more successful.
3. Plan Your 1-3 Biggest Tasks of the Day
If you attack your biggest problems first, then you're more likely to feel empowered and everything else afterward will seem like a bonus. Planning those tasks will make huge gains towards getting them done.
I put nutrition here and not eat a meal or having a shake because let's face it, we all have our own special needs in terms of feeding our bodies. However, even if you're on a Keto diet or intermittent fasting you still need to have some water in your system or some kind of fluid. So let's leave it at feed the body what it needs to reach your long term goals.
5. Disconnect from Digital
This is a challenge in today's world. The self-discipline needed to disconnect is something we all struggle with. The benefits, however, are giving your mind a break from all of the short term notifications and dings we get from our devices.
Bonus: Around here, we start the day with Coffee. But a warm and soothing drink is a great way to calm the day and also focus yourself.
So there you have it. What are the morning rituals you follow to become an even more successful version of yourself? Share them below!
